We carry a comprehensive stock of some of the finest mother of the bride outfits in the Huddersfield, Halifax and West Yorkshire area. The pictures on the website are to give you an insight into just a few of the collections but we carry a lot more than we can possibly show you here. A visit will always be worth-while to try on as many of the outfits as you need in as relaxed an atmosphere as possible.

We have an exceptionally good relationship with the several suppliers and have confidence in saying that we can offer outfits from some of them at prices that start at just over £200. Of course you're likely to pay more for a top quality silk outfit from any of the world renowned designers but the choice is all yours.

If you want to steal the limelight in your choice of mother of the bride outfit or gown , if you want to be a star in your own right and want to complement the Bride in her choice of dress then you need to call on us.

For a quick overview of the outfits and styles it is difficult to show as many outfits as I would like. The only way to see is to make a visit and browse to your hearts content.

To let you know about the stock situation it's always best to call first but the spring 2011 collection is of course now in stock. If you happen to need an outfit in the latter part of the year the chances are that the late summer collection will have a good chance of providing inspiration but the autumn 2011 collections are likely to be delivered from late July onwards.

We are off to the supplier showrooms and exhibitions again starting from mid July. This is to select the wonderful garments from their spring - summer 2012 collections. As a mother of the bride or groom you have probably never had to shop for anything quite like one of these sort of outfits. It's almost inevitable that you will already have looked in one or more of the department stores. Beware of choosing something from one of them. We find that a lot of guests also buy their own outfits from such places and God forbid they turn up wearing the same outfit as yourself. It's bound to happen to someone each season. Don't let it be you.

There are bridal shops out there who carry a small selection of mother of the bride outfits from a very limited number of suppliers. They are often unable to show as comprehensive a collection as a specialist retailer such as ourselves.

Mostly they take a small selection of outfits from the suppliers of their bridal gowns and take orders from them. This isn't the ideal way to order a specialist outfit. Better take time to try one on in the size required, look at all the complementary items such as hats, shoes, bags and even a larger selection of actual outfits from many more suppliers.

Don't be hurried into a wrong choice. You have time to make the correct decision.

A lot of the mother of the bride or groom outfits are designed and produced in the EEC such as Spain and France. Some are from the USA. The majority are made from silks of some sort. The Paule Vasseur collection for instance predominantly uses the finest Doupion silk. The cost of silk is pretty high and this naturally reflects through onto the selling price. To be able to give an idea of cost it's useful to know that an outfit made entirely from plain silk is less expensive than one made from embroidered silk. So although a fully embroidered outfit may look rather nice, we find that one made up from an embroidered jacket or bolero with a plain bustier and skirt is quite a bit less in price but still looks really nice. As a further guide to price, we carry outfits that sell out for less than £350 but the more expensive ones with all the bells and whistles can go up to around £1000. You get what you pay for in the end but that's not to say that a less expensive outfit won't look good.
