Mother of the Bride and Groom outfits and ladies Special Occasion fashions
Norma   &   June   Fashions   Ltd   has   been   retailing   ladies   fashions   since   1979.   It   was   initially   a   party   plan   business   and   traded   in   this manner   until   1986   at   which   time   Norma   retired   from   the   business   and   the   shop   was   opened   as   a   result.   The   company   has undergone   many   changes   and   transformations   since   the   early   days,   in   order   to   evolve   into   one   of   the   areas   leading   specialist retailers of occasion outfits and couture fashions. The   opening   of   the   nearby   Dalton   Park   Outlet   Centre   at   Murton   was   responsible   for   a   major   shift   from   the   everyday   ladies fashions   that   we   were   very   successful   with,   to   more   special   occasion   styles.   Despite   our   selection   of   the   day-wear   being   far more   stylish   and   often   quite   a   bit   less   expensive   than   the   offerings   of   Dalton   Park,   we   found   that   the   outlet   shops   attracted   a   lot of   business   due   the   presumption   by   people   that   they   were   getting   a   bargain.   That   couldn’t   be   further   from   the   truth,   but   we changed   our   fashion   selection   to   prevent   a   clash   with   the   shops   at   Dalton   Park.   We   became   a   lot   more   exclusive   and   into couture garments emphasising on mother of the bride and groom, wedding guests and other special occasion ladies fashions. We   became   a   Ltd   Company   in   2008   to   allow   further   expansion   and   accommodate   further   directors   into   the   business   when   it becomes   necessary   for   the   continuance   of   the   company   at   the   planned   retirement   of   the   current   director.   We   carefully   choose each   of   the   collections   we   stock   and   take   only   those   styles   which   represent   the   best   in   quality,   style   and   value   for   money compatible   with   our   known   customer   base.   We   do   not   compromise   on   these   prime   considerations.   Although   the   shop   is   located in   what   is   known   in   parliamentary   circles   as   one   of   the   “most   economically   depressed   towns   in   the   UK”   we   attract   customers from   all   over   the   world.   We   regularly   meet   ladies   who   have   flown   in   from   Ireland,   come   by   train   from   most   places   in   the   UK   and even from ships docking at South Shields. Our   shop   isn’t   huge.   It   is   a   good   enough   size   to   allow   comfortable   customer   viewing   of   the   many   things   of   interest   to   them.   It   has a   rear   room   which   has   3   good   sized   fitting   areas,   and   can   take   a   wheelchair   if   necessary.   We   always   have   over   2000   outfits   in stock   between   the   showroom   downstairs   and   the   stock   room   upstairs.   Our   staff   are   all   experienced   and   will   give   you   as   much   personal   assistance   as   necessary   without   putting   any   pressure   on you to buy. We want you to go away with the best outfit for you, so that you will make genuine recommendations to friends and family . This   is   a   friendly   place   with   personal   service   to   each   and   every   one   of   our   visitors.   We   do   not   have   an   appointment   system   as   we   believe   this   is   a   sure   fire   way   to   put   a   customer   at   risk   of   making   a hurried decision. We prefer to give everyone a good opportunity to try as many styles as necessary to make their choice in an unhurried and relaxed manner.
